Play on Linux!

Is every Windows game running on Linux a dream come true?

Most PC users know that the various Linux operating systems aren't quite the best when it comes to playing games. Game developers usually prefer the Windows path as it still is the world's most popular operating system. It is not a question of which operating system is best, but which is the most used.

That might change in the near future as Valve (surprisingly without much publicity) has released a new beta version of Steam Play. This new version combines the powerful Wine tool with Steam, which will allow virtually all games that the company releases for Windows to also work on Linux!

If you are a Linux user, you can try the beta version of Steam Play and enjoy some of the games which are already supported, namely: DOOM; Fallout Shelter; Final Fantasy VI; Magic: The Gathering; Star Wars: Battlefront 2 and Tekken 7.

With such an impressive early list of games (which in my opinion already includes some of the best games currently available for Windows) and many more to be added in the future, I wouldn't be surprised to see more PC users trying out one version of the Linux operating system.

There are a number of Linux operating systems at your disposal. Some of them are better suited for older computers, while others can directly compete with the new versions of Windows or iOS. The great news is that most of the Linux versions have a dedicated community of people ready to help new users, who don’t mind explaining why a specific version of Linux would be the best option. This information will surely help you choose wisely for your personal computing needs.

The best part is that playing games will no longer be an issue.
