What’s on this Month
August is upon us and many people are flying off to exotic lands for their summer #vacation. For those of you who are not able to #escape to such far off places, there are plenty of activities happening in London to help you forget about your daily grind. British Airways is celebrating 100 years of flying this summer with an exhibition called BA 2019: Flight of the Future, which will take place at the Saatchi Gallery from the 1st – 26th of August. The exhibition is created in partnership with the Royal College of Art and is the first of its kind to explore the future of aviation. What will flying look like in 20 to 60 years with advanced jet propulsion, hyper personalisation, automation and AI? With so many mind boggling ideas, this exhibition will leave your brain both fascinated and stimulated.
When the heat is blistering or it’s been a very tough day at work, many people like to kick back and refresh themselves with a cold beer. If you are feeling like you need to broaden your beer tasting taste buds, then The London Craft Beer Festival is the place to go. It will be taking place at Tobacco Dock from the 9th – 11th of August and will help get you out of your regular beer drinking comfort zone. The festival will host New York and European based breweries, various talented chefs and hot DJs to keep you in the party mood. What is your currant favourite type of beer?
A mellow way to unwind this month is at Chihuly at Kew: Reflections on nature. This is a series of events taking place at in the evening at #Kew Gardens, and will showcase the striking glass artworks by Dale Chihuly. As the sun goes down, the lights will come up and Chihuly’s masterpieces are beautifully illuminated and framed by the sun as it starts to set. Uplifting music that has been specially curated to accompany the exhibition, will help you connect with both the artwork and nature on a deeper level. Food and drink will also be available to purchase. This exhibition commences on the 15th of August and finishes on the 26th of October.
