London Markets

March 1, 2018

Winter is a time to go somewhere you wouldn’t necessarily bother to venture out to during #winter: for example, sitting like a #hippie in a #grassy #park as opposed to the indoor corporate comfort of a #coffee #shop, trading a strong #Americano for a refreshing #fruit #smoothie (or #beer), and as for the #shopping…

Don’t spend your #winter #days trapped in the overbearing #airport-esque #circus that is #Westfield or trudging up and down #OxfordStreet, the never ending tunnel of #tourists, #buskers, dissatisfied shop assistants, aggressive traffic and of course Primark.

London, and the rest of the #UK, is brimming with #markets #selling #food, #clothes, #antiques, #furniture, #instruments and the odd bit of junk here and there. A lot of the stuff is unique, meaning that you can find a nice #VintageDress or #elegant #picture #frame on a stall in #Borough as opposed to John Lewis.

Many markets are built into popular shopping hotspots: #OldSpitafields, #BrickLane, #CoventGarden, #Camden, #Portobello and #Shepherd’sBush to name a few. If you’ve exhausted options there, don’t forget #Southbank, #Borough, #Kilburn, #MertonAbbey and #PetticoatLane. Essentially, whether you’re #north, #south, #east or #west of the #river, they’re waiting for you.
