What’s on this Month

When you were a child, was playing with #LEGO bricks the best part of your life? Are you also a big fan of the DC comic book #superheroes? If you have answered yes to both questions, then brace yourself for fantastic treat this month. The #Art of the Brick: DC Super Heroes is an exhibition of 120 LEGO models, displayed in a specially built space in the Doon Street Car Park on the South Bank. The exhibition takes place from the 1st of March to the 15th of October and features a life-size Batmobile, Superman, Wonder Woman, the Joker, Harley Quinn and many more heroes and villains. All the models have been built out of LEGO by former lawyer turned artist Nathan Sawaya, who like many of us, started playing with LEGO at an early stage but he has taken his hobby one step further. He is now touring the world with his grand #exhibition and has millions of visitors flocking to see his creations. You’ll also be able to unleash your inner child and create your own masterpiece in the Interactive Zone.

MOVE IT at the #ExCel centre is an all-encompassing show that features many forms of dance and takes place on the 10th, 11th and 12th of March. Whatever type of dance you’re into, #ballet or ‘Strictly’ style ballroom, MOVE IT has all the disciplines covered. There will be dance classes covering everything from the bunny hop to hip hop. If you’re not feeling confident enough to participate in a little dancing, then you can always see how it’s meant to be done with performers from 1500 dancers representing groups as diverse as the English National Ballet and the Urban Strides. Lord of the Dance – Michael Flatley Dance Academy, Flawless, Kristina Rihanoff, Twist and Pulse will be sharing their expert advice about dancing with visitors. Whether you’re a beginner or professional dancer you’ll be able to gain knowledge with seminars on nutrition, and how to give a good #audition. At the very least by picking up some funky #dance moves and gaining nutritional information from this event, it will definitely help revive your fitness routine!
