Happy New Year!!! I hope 2017 is an exciting and prosperous year for you all. Many of us will make various #resolutions to help make improvements in our lives, but one resolution that we all should try making is to do lots of things that make us and our loved ones happy.
For those of you who aren’t #partying on New Year’s Eve, then why not let your hair down at London’s New Year Day Parade. This parade is brought to you by the #BFI (British Film Institute) and celebrates the magic of the film world. Many of this year’s entries pay homage to movies including Jurassic Park, #Ghostbusters, The Italian Job, Mary Poppins and Star Wars. The parade starts from outside The Ritz Hotel and weaves its way along the 2.2 mile central London route, finishing at Parliament Square. This extravagant event will have Disney-style floats, plenty of loud music, a marching band, cheerleaders, street performers, clowns, acrobats and representatives from each of the 33 London Boroughs. If you didn’t get an opportunity to dance the night away on New Year’s Eve, then why not dance the day away at the parade celebrations.
One way to break free from the monotony of life is by going #travelling. The #Adventure Travel Show is the UK’s only event dedicated to discovering the world off the beaten track. The show gives you access to specialist adventure travel companies who can provide you with help, whether you’re interested in #volunteering, a career break, trekking, diving, safari or cycling. There will over 100 free inspirational talks across four theatres to choose from, and as an added bonus, there will also be a chance to hear talks from real life adventurer Sean Conway, whose work has been documented on the Discovery Channel. You will be able to gain information about the hottest new destinations of 2017 and also ways to enhance your travel #photography, #writing and film skills. The Adventure Travel Show takes place at the Olympia on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd, and if this show doesn’t inspire you to spread your wings and travel, then nothing will!
