An energetic way to commence the month of June, is by going to the #Hampton Court Palace Festival which will be taking place from the 8th of June to the 23rd. The open air court of the Palace provides a beautiful backdrop for a line-up of acts worthy of the venue. The #legendary Tom Jones kicks the whole thing off and plays for the first two nights of the #festival. Van Morrison, Katherine Jenkins, Art Garfunkel, George Benson and Caro Emerald are all on the line-up which also includes festival favourite Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra. You will have the option to bring your own hampers, or take advantage of the pre-ordered picnic options on offer which includes a VIP package where you get great seats, a champagne reception with canapes, dinner and wine. How many festivals have you attended?
#Junipalooza is an event that is a celebration of all things gin and takes place at Tobacco Dock. The event is a global gathering of gin makers in London and offers masterclasses, music, food a dedicated cocktails bar and plenty of gin to sample. Visitors will be able to sample gin from Canada, America, Australia, South Africa and, being quintessentially a British spirit, there will of course be plenty of British gin makers in attendance, including Dodd’s, East London Liquor Company, Sipsmith, Tarquin and Mews Gin. Junipalooza takes place on the 11th and 12th of June, and will get your gin loving taste buds buzzing.
For a more family oriented day out, why not visit the London #Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival, which returns to the #London Regatta Centre in the #Docklands on Sunday 26th June. In this contest, 40 teams are given their turn in the #dragon boats to try their best to win one of the four cups. The boats are typically manned by 17 people, 16 equipped with small paddles and the 17th team member beating a drum. If you begin to feel a little weary of watching all the action on the water, then you can immerse yourself in all #entertainment happening on dry land. Spectators will be able to enjoy traditional Chinese lion dancing, live music, martial arts displays, and a food festival serving #Chinese, #Japanese, #Korean and #Indian cuisine.
