What’s on this Month

December 6, 2015

All over the towns, #shopping malls and even in people’s homes, the #fairy lights and #decorations are up, reminding us all that the festive season is upon us. The #Nutcracker is a show which is synonymous with Christmas and this year it will be playing at the Royal Opera House from 8th December to 9th January 2016. The famed scene of Clara dancing in front of the Christmas tree will be recreated by Peter Wright’s restaging of Lev Ivanov’s choreography, all to Tchaikovsky’s famous score. The nostalgic set designs which showcase the late 1800s, help draw you into this magical play. This Edwardian #Christmas tale is a heart-warming show for all your family to enjoy. Will you be going to see The Nutcracker this year?

#Santa Claus and the Night before Christmas is a play that will have all the audience believing in Father Christmas by the end of the show. It is set on Christmas Eve with two cheeky elves, Charlie and Kara, having to help Santa prove that he is real. Its interactive plot is filled with magic tricks, songs and stories. Both children and adults will enjoy the bubbles and be wowed by the snow that will be sprinkled upon them, during a magical moment in the show. As an added bonus, the children will get to meet Santa after the show and will be given a present for them keep. This play is suitable for children aged two and over and will be staged at the New Wimbledon Studio from the 1st to 24th December.

If you’re a #chocoholic, then you really can’t afford to miss this next event! The Chocolate Festival is filled with an array of chocolatiers and artisan delights that will excite your taste buds. The event will feature stands from award winning chocolatiers, demonstrations, tastings and talks, at the Business Design Centre from the 4th to 6th of December. You will be able to try luxurious cocoa beauty treatments at the Cocoa Spa, and visit the Health Zone where you can learn about the health benefits of chocolate. There will also be a Chocolate Market where you can buy lots of sweet treats from Britain’s best artisan chocolate companies. What’s your favourite type of chocolate?

Whatever you decide to get up to this #festive season, I hope you all have fun and a very #merry Christmas!
