If you’re stuck trying to find a way to keep your children entertained during their #summer #holidays, then taking them to The West End for Kids Week will solve your dilemma. Kids Week starts on 1st August and finishes on the 30th. Children aged 5 to 16 years can see an awesome selection of dazzling West End hits as long as an adult pays full price then another two children can go half price. Aside from the shows themselves, there’s a whole raft of free children’s activities. Kids can peek backstage, participate in #workshops, dabble with make-up, learn to dance, scribble a few lines in writing classes and even sing with the cast. This day out is beneficial as it can only inspire kids’ enthusiasm for the #stage in later life.
The #London Mela in #Gunnersbury Park on the 30th of August is another fun filled event for the whole family to enjoy. The Mela is a wonderful celebration of #Asian music and #culture, and draws in large crowds every year. #Entertainment is spread over nine zones, all showcasing different types of music with urban, classical and experimental music, #DJs, circus and comedy as well as dance, arts and a Magic Mela family area. There will also be a fun fair and hundreds of stalls selling food and crafts, all of which makes the London Mela a magnet for a multitude of #Londoners out for a good time. Let’s just hope for a dry sun filled day so that the event can be enjoyed to the max!
For those of you looking to treat your pet dog this summer then why not enter your beloved pooch into the Paw #Pageant on the 25th of August. This dog-catwalk takes place at Old Spitalfields Market and sees London’s best dressed, ‘fugliest’ and smartest dogs competing to win prizes across eight categories. The Paw Pageant is sponsored by the #Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, and also includes puppy training and a specialist bow-wow market selling a variety of products for man’s best friend.
