May is a month that we all look forward to as we get two bank #holidays and therefore two long weekends to get indulge in some #fun and frolic. If watching films on the big screen is something that you enjoy, then the Rooftop #Film Club will be an event for you not to miss. The 5,000 square foot terrace of the Bussey Building in Peckham Rye is one of the four venues for the Rooftop Film Club which runs from 1st May to 30th September. You will be able to savour zingy #Mexican street food, a #Caribbean BBQ, a fully licenced bar that serves a variety of cold drinks and #cocktails, all whilst being surrounded by magnificent panoramic views of London. Many different genres of films will be shown and all will feature wireless headphones and comfy seats to enhance your experience. Tickets cost £14 and the doors open at 6pm.
#Avenue Q is a hit American puppet #musical which will be running at the #Greenwich #Theatre from 12th to 24th May. Previously staged at numerous theatres across London as well as across the world, the show is back with more mischief, bad behaviour and political incorrectness. The show uses puppets and live actors to explore the painful transition from childhood to adult life, where the realisation of the ‘real world’s’ limitations hit you. The show has been created by Jeff Marx and Robert Lopez and is humorous, entertaining and thought provoking.
Hard core #StarWars fans are in for a treat with the new two-floor, multi-million pound Star Wars experience at #Madame Tussauds which opens this May. More than snapping a selfie with life-like wax figures, the Star Wars attraction has authentic walk-in sets, special effects and 11 separate sets which faithfully reproduce the film’s most memorable scenes. Fans can come face-to-face with #Stormtroopers, witness Luke Skywalker as he battles #Darth Vader on the Death Star and join captive Princess Leia and the evil Jabba the Hutt in his Throne Room. Even if you’re not a huge fan of Star Wars, this new feature will leave you both amazed and impressed.
